The Lighthouse is situated near the ‘First Landing” site where English settlers first set foot on their way to settle in Jamestown ” – from the Virginia Preservation Website. It was Completed in 1792!

A Lighthouse serves as a navigational aid to sailors, and to warn boats of dangerous areas.
